Rehabilitation Case Management
Rehabilitation
Case management is a collaborative process
that assesses, plans, implements,
coordinates, monitors, and evaluates the
options and services required to meet an
individual’s health needs and vocational
goals. Case management may have a medical or
vocational focus. At RSA, our Certified Case
Managers are experienced with providing both
in hundreds of cases.
Medical Case Management involves the
planning and coordination of health care
services appropriate to achieve medical
rehabilitation goals. Medical case
management may include, but not be limited
to, case assessment, assistance in
developing, implementing and coordinating a
medical care plan with health care
providers, and evaluation of treatment
results.
Vocational Case management entails the
delivery and coordination of services
designed to achieve the goal of returning an
injured individual to appropriate
employment. Specific services may include,
but not limited to, collection and analysis
of relevant medical information; vocational
assessment; vocational testing, vocational
counseling; vocational plan development;
coordination of return to work; job
analysis; job modification; job development
and placement; labor market survey; analysis
of transferable skills; coordination of
retraining; and follow-up after
reemployment.
All RSA
services are provided within an objective
and ethical framework for individuals,
insurers, and plaintiff and defense counsel.
